Do you have a SPF higher than SPF 30?

We do not have a SPF higher than 30. We used to carry a SPF 50 however, the difference in Zinc was .10%. Our SPF 30 is 18% Zinc for SPF (higher than the average SPF 30) and blocks about 97% UVA & UVB rays. An SPF 50, with our formulations, would block less than 1% more than our SPF 30. As a company, we decided to discontinue the SPF 50 since there is less than 1% additional coverage at a much higher retail cost to our customer.

Does your sunscreen leave a white cast on skin?

Our sunscreens use the natural mineral Zinc. Zinc is a rock, when it is micronized (using non-nano technology) the particles are not large enough to enter pores. Zinc sits on TOP of the skin and acts as a reflective barrier of UV Rays. Due to its natural rock material and our use of non-nano technology, the zinc is white by default. However, with our lotion-based formula you will notice that a little goes a long way. Using a pea to dime sized amount and brushing rather than rubbing the lotion in with your skin makes for easier application with little to no white cast.

Are your products vegan? Gluten Free?

Yes, all our products are considered Vegan and Gluten Free by FDA standards.

We have been doing this and preaching the need for safe sun care for over 20 years and it is finally becoming “Newsworthy.”

Do your products have any added fragrances?

No, our products’ aroma come from their blend of natural plant and mineral ingredients.

What are the essential oils used in your products and what is their purpose?

The essential oils used in our products differ from product to product, please see the product descriptions for the specific oils used and their purpose.

Is the Zinc used in your SPF non-nano?

Yes, we use non-nano Zinc oxide as the active ingredient in our Sunscreens. Contrary to our competition, we use the old school mill process to grind the Zinc down into powder form to then be used in our formulas. This controls the size of the zinc particles, so they are unable to penetrate the pores. Remember, zinc sits on TOP of the skin and acts as a protective barrier against UVA/UVB Rays.

Where are your products made?
